Sam Bragg - Manager
Equality and Diversity, Behaviour Management, Legislative Information and Research, Data Protection & Security, Joint SENCO, Partnership Working
Sam joined us on the 1st September 2011. Sam lives locally to Harrietsham and is a highly respected Childminder (has Accredited NCMA Network status) who employed Ofsted registered staff to help her with her setting. Whilst not actually having worked in a pre-school setting, she has had up to 11 children in her care at one time and ticks a lot of the boxes that we were looking for in terms of policies and procedures and her approach to childcare!
In January 2009 she achieved an outstanding grade from Ofsted in all aspects and has successfully incorporated the Early Years Foundation Stage. She has proved thorough evidence of her knowledge of this sector and is up to date with the relevant legislation and current initiatives. She is spending a lot of time studying qualifications in this sector, has the required Level 3 Certificate and is working with the Open University, hoping to achieve the Foundation Degree in Early Years.
Sara Coleman - Deputy

Joint Safeguarding Children/Kitchen
Sara is a caring and warm member of the Pre-School team. She has a nurturing way, especially with children who may find the first separation from their carer difficult. Sara loves cooking and creating with the children and her enthusiasm rubs off on all. She holds a Level 3 DPP Qualification and undergoes continued training to support all the children.
Su Rawson - Assistant

Joint Safeguarding Children/Child Protection
Su is a very experienced, calm and creative member of the team. She brings to Pre-School a sense of composure which is very much appreciated during the hurly-burly of routines. Her creativity particularly lends itself to developing long term activities which engage children in their evolvement and subsequent learning. Su takes her responsibilities as sa key person to heart and ensures that she maintains an excellent relationship with those children and their families.
Katharine Kock - Assistant

First Aid Boxes
Katharine is a very creative person and has used her experiences and learning (currently studying for her DPP) in providing interesting and child involve 'circle time' and 'activity plans'. The children enjoy re-inacting the story bags with her and feel happy with her warm nature and presence. She is a fun person to work with and her life has proved very interesting and eventful.
Monica Elvy - Assistant
Inclusions & Equality
Monica has worked for two years at a local nursery before joining Harrietsham Pre-School in November 2011. Monica is qualified to CACHE Level 3 in Pre-School Practice and has undertaken statutory training in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum that we deliver.
Monica works in Pre-school on Mondays and Thursdays and is key-person to four children. She is already a huge success with all of the children in Pre-school. Monica is both level-headed and energetic, engaging them in her love of physical activities, as well as introducing Spanish, her native language within story or circle times. Monica has taken the additional responsibility of our Inclusions & Equality and is liaising with the team, as we incorporate exciting new initiatives into Pre-school.
Jo Griffin - Assistant
CIEH Food Safety & Hygiene/Maintaining COSH
Jo is the newest addition to our Staff at Pre-school, joining us at the end of December 2011. Jo is new to pre-school life and is very enthusiastic about gaining skills, knowledge and understanding to support our children and parents. Jo will be undertaking statutory training throughout this academic year and is already booked on courses to achieve this. She is also looking to gain her CACHE Level 3 in Pre-School Practice and we are currently awaiting a decision at KCC for funding towards this qualification.
Jo works in Pre-school Tuesday to Friday and is being mentored by our Manager, Sam Bragg as part of her induction period, being key-person to four children. Jo has been accepted by all of the children (always an excellent indicator!) and has a lively, bubbly persona whilst remaining caring and attentive to individual needs. Jo has recently accepted the additional responsibility of CIEH Food Safety & Hygiene and maintaining COSH and will commence this role from Term 4 2011-2012.
