GRANTS 2007/2008

This has been another successful year for our Pre-School in securing important grants to fund the many expenditures we incur throughout the year.



We are grateful to Kent County Council for two awards, each of £5,000. The first from their Transformation Fund and the second from the Early Years Professional Achievement Fund, which supported Janet Bellamy’s graduate qualification course. Between them the grant’s have funded staff to be off site and undertake study and training, and at the same time for other staff to cover in the absence of our Supervisor. The grants have also funded other staff training costs and enabled us to give pay awards that more accurately reflect the dedication and commitment of our staff.



We are also grateful to Harrietsham Parish Council, who have supported us over many years. This year they gave us £750 to purchase a sign at the School entrance from West Street. They funded the purchase of an all-weather outside notice-board and investment in additional indoor and outdoor play equipment.



It is an endless task to keep identifying, applying and securing further grants, which form an important element of our annual income, but we are very grateful to the above organisations for their support during 2007/08.
